The former children's camps, constructed in 1964 using traditional materials like stone and tile, are approximately one kilometre from Agios Nikolaos. They blend perfectly into the lush green surroundings, adding to the village's timeless beauty.
Perched on the slopes of Mount Taygetos, Agios Nikolaos offers breathtaking views of the plateau, with the majestic peaks of Taygetos dominating the horizon. Chestnut trees, walnut trees, oak trees, dense plane trees, and vast olive groves line a winding road leading to the village, which seemingly disappears amidst the lush foliage.
